Copy protection

Some channels are very protective of their content and wish to prevent people from copy / pasting it  into other sites.

Copy protection can be enabled for all of your articles by enabling the "Copy protect articles" flag on your channel document.

1. Open the app.
2. Open your channel document (how to edit your channel document).
3. Scroll down to "Flags".
4. Enable the "Copy protect articles" flag.
5. Click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the form.

When copy protection is enabled:

1. The author of the article as well as all admin users will still be able to use copy / paste. Everyone else will be blocked.
2. The text "Content should not be copied without permission" will appear at the bottom of all articles and in a popup when copying is attempted.

Limitations

As with any web site, it is not possible to completely protect your content from being copied. When enabled, this copy protection prevents users from using:

• Ctrl-C
• Ctrl-X
• Right click

This prevents the casual user from copying content but it is still possible to do a screen capture or use the developer features of browsers to circumvent this protection.
